These Terms of Service govern your use of the Journai app and website. By registering, you agree to these terms.

1. Description of service

Journai is a mobile application for securely storing, organising, and managing travel documents, health records, and emergency information. Documents are stored end-to-end encrypted; we do not have access to your data.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Journai. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your account with others. Journai is not liable for losses resulting from unauthorised account access due to your negligence.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use Journai to store illegal content, infringe third-party rights, attempt to circumvent encryption, or perform automated scraping. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Limitation of liability

Journai is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, Journai is not liable for data loss resulting from device theft, loss of your encryption keys, or force majeure events. We strongly recommend keeping a physical backup of critical documents.

6. Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance will be announced via the app where possible.

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. Journai may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms with reasonable notice except in cases of serious breach.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by German law. Place of jurisdiction is Constance, Germany, to the extent permitted by applicable consumer protection law.
